Be careful about using the postcodes alone, they don’t quite point to the right place! Have a look at Silver St and Bridewell St (two blobs close together, near the little bus symbol) on this Google map:

Upon registration you’ll get a lovely booklet with maps and all further detail, please feel free to contact us if you have any more questions (though from today you may do better just tapping one of our shoulders)!

A few couples are preparing the Frankie 95 choreography for the The Swing Thing cabaret. We’d like to invite more people to join the performance. The choreography takes between 1 and 2 hours to learn. We want it to look pretty organic so it wont need much if any rehearsing.

There will also be a Big Apple performance on Friday and Saturday night. The performance group is one lead short. They’re based in London so if anyone from London knows the routine and would like to practice then contact Helen Casey on tazhelen@hotmail.com. If you’re not from London but you know The Big Apple and are interested in performing then please also let Helen know.

We’ve had a brilliant response, thank you! We have over 120 dancers now – and plan to close registration at midnight on Thursday the 15th of July.

However, if we reach 150 dancers before then, we will close upon the 150th registrant! So, get your registrations in ASAP if you still need to do so!

NB, we are still closed to single follows (and have hopeful follows still on the waiting list), and we’ve run out of hosting.

I would have warned you if it wouldn’t have given us a surge of follows registering at once, which rather defeats the purpose..!

However, I know what we’re like, you’ll manage to talk a man into being your opposite number easily enough

So, as is standard for these things – followers can register with the name of a lead, and that lead needs to then register (naming follower) within a week of their doing so.

We know how hard it is to get a fledgeling event off the ground, so we’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to the organisers of the Swedish camp if you find that you’re very quiet that weekend.

I’m sure in the coming years you will find your own following eventually…
