29th July – 2nd August; a 5 day Lindy Hop and Circus Extravaganza!
The event will be organised as a Lindy Exchange except that the 3 main nights, The Swing Thing, will be a collaboration with our good friends at Invisible Circus, creators of the ground-breaking Carneyville. Their events are renowned for their mix of modern circus performances, unusual side shows, great bands, inspired décor, and audiences who dress in weird and wonderful costumes in line with the night’s theme. The theme of these nights will be 1930s/40s Swing with live swing bands (names tbc), circus and dance performances, retro hair/make up, photo booth, late night blues room, and one or two surprises!
There will be 3 or 4 separate areas where you can dance, included a dedicated wooden floor, solely for people on the lindy exchange.
